Acquire the open circuit potential (Eoc)
If you selected Eoc as the potential reference for the scan, then the open circuit potential will be
measured immediately after starting the test. You are prompted by the test application, as shown in
the next figure.

If you select
Yes
, the instrument measures the open circuit potential (Eoc) of your electrochemical
cell. If you select
No
, the test stops. After the Eoc is measured, the value is displayed in a prompt, as
shown in the next figure.

If this value is acceptable, then select
Yes
to start the scan. If you select
No
, the test will stop. The
measured Eoc value is saved in the
eocBuffer
internal buffer of the instrument.
