6. Move the

POSITION control and notice how averaging restarts at a low value
to allow easy positioning.
The 50 terminator was used here because it gives a good impedance match.
Because there are no large discontinuities, it appears to the instrument as an endless
cable. The noise seen in this demonstration is noise picked up on the cable and a tiny
amount of internal noise in the 1503C. When testing cables, the noise filter is
extremely effective in reducing noise.
