7. Once the rear portion of the ROPS is down, get the rear fasteners started first. Only put one
bolt in per side until all fasteners are started. Use the provided ½” x 1 ½” flange bolts.
8. Continue lowering the front down until all weight is onto the machine. Using the provided
3/8” x 1 ½” hex bolts and flange nuts, bolt the front of the ROPS down to the platform. Install
all remaining mounting bolts onto the ROPS.
9. Torque specs for 3/8” fasteners are 48 ft-lbs. Torque specs for ½” fasteners are 102 ft-lbs.
Tighten all ROPS fasteners to these torques once all fasteners have been started.
If ROPS has electrical options installed, proceed with the following steps.
10. Take red power and black ground wires that are at the bottom of the left rear tube and
route along the mounting bracket and into the engine bay. Connect the black ground wire to
the negative post on the battery with the provided loop. Shorten wire if necessary, then solder
connector to loop. Connect the red power wire to the positive post on the battery, using the
provided loop. Shorten the wire if necessary, then solder connector to loop. Each option is
fused individually for power draw protection behind the switch plate in the ROPS.
NOTE:
If ROPS is equipped with a Golf Ball Protection Package, it may be necessary to adjust the door
latch after installation is complete. The striker pin, door latch, and striker mounting plate may
need to be loosened and adjusted slightly after install due to the ROPS frame flexing slightly
during ROPS install.
