• Do not place the hot plate under water or on a fragile surface.
• To prevent damage to the plates, only use them on the appliance for which they were designed (e.g., do not
place in an oven, on the gas ring or electric hot-plate, etc.).
• To preserve the non-stick properties of the coating, avoid excessive pre-heating with the appliance empty.
• The plates should never be handled when hot.
• Do not cook food in aluminium foil.
• To avoid spoiling your product, do not use flambé recipes in connection with it at any time.

• Thank you for buying this appliance, which is intended for domestic use only.
• For your safety, this appliance conforms to all applicable standards and regulations (Low Voltage Directive, Elec-

• On first use, there may be a slight odour and a little smoke during the first few minutes; this is normal and
will quickly disappear.

Instructions for use
Explanatory drawings are at the end of this leaflet.
• Place your appliance on a flat, stable and heat-resistant work surface, away from water splashes.
• Plug the cord into the mains.
• Turn on the appliance by pressing the switch: the red indicator light will come on and remain lit, showing that
the appliance is powered on.
• The orange indicator light comes on and the appliance starts to heat up.
• Pre-heat the appliance for about 5-10 minutes
• After preheating, the orange indicator light turns off, and the appliance is ready for use.
• The orange light will blink regularly while the appliance is in use to indicate that the temperature is being main-
tained.
• Open the appliance and put the mixture on the lower plate.
• Leave the preparations to cook for the desired time.
• When cooking is complete, place the thermostat in the min. position.
• Turn off the appliance by pressing the switch: the lights will turn off

• Unplug the appliance

• Leave to cool for at least 2 hours in the position used for cooking.

Cleaning
• Check that the appliance is cooled and disconnected before cleaning.
• Clean the plates and body of the appliance using a sponge, hot water and washing-up liquid.
• The appliance and its power supply cord must not be put in the dishwasher.
• The plates and the drip tray are dishwasher safe.
• The heating coil is not to be cleaned. If it is really dirty, wait until it has cooled down and wipe with a dry cloth.
