No water delivered
1. Pressure required by system at design
1. Compare pump pressure and flow rate against
flow rate exceeds pressure rating of
pump performance chart. Reduce system pressure
pump
requirement. Increase pressure capability of pump
2. Obstruction in suction piping
2. Locate and remove obstruction. Attach strainer
3. Suction lift too high
3. Check with gauge or measure vertical distance
between water surface and center line of pump,
allowing for friction loss in suction pipe. Reduce
rate of flow to obtain desired lift. Refer to pump
performance chart
4. Leaky suction line or connection
4. Repair or replace suction line. Tighten connections
admitting air
Not enough water
