4 Brief description
4.1 Introduction
The TCX air curtain controller consists of the control element as a touchscreen in the surface-
mounted housing and a power unit that is installed in the air curtain. Connection is via a 4-wire
shielded BUS cable
(e.g.: J-Y(ST)Y 2x2x0.8 mm², shielded, twisted control cable) .
The TCX controller is characterised by a simple, self-explanatory menu navigation and
programming. A number of languages can be selected for the menu navigation. The start screen
shows the main functions and permits fast access to the most important parameters.

Multiple air curtain units can be connected to one control element and addressed by the control
element individually, in groups or in parallel. The header contains the date and time as well as the
current room temperature. The temperature is recorded by a sensor integrated in the control
element or by a separately connected room temperature sensor.
A separate name can be given to each individual device and each group of devices. The name of
the device which is currently active appears beneath the header and also serves as a selection
menu for the individual devices or groups of devices.
