ENSURE THAT THE HEATER IS OFF AND COMPLETELY
COOL BEFORE STARTING TO REPLACE THE WIC K.
1. Press the shutoff button

, lower the wick, take out the refueling tank

remove the combustion chamber

and batteries, and pull out the wick
adjustment knob

2. Remove the 4 screws off the body.
3. Hold the right and left handles and tilt down the body slightly forward. Now lift up
the body to get it free.
4. Hold the flame baffle by its righe and left and release the hooks from the square
holes. Divide the flame baffle in the right and left halves in the directions of
arrows (a) and (b).
5. Remove the 4 wing nuts from the wick cylinder.
6. Pull out the wick cylinder upward and place it on top of the fuel tank. Handle the
cylinder with care because the igniter lead is still connected.
7a.Remove the screw from the Tip-over automatic extinguish device.
7b.With your righe hand, pull the Tip-over automatic extinguish device in the
direction of arrow to remove the wick up/down fixture out of the hole in the wick
holder bracket. With your left hand, draw out the wick upward.
8. While pulling the coupler to the right ( in the direction of arrlw), insert a new wick
into the wick guide and turn the wick until the tip of the wick up/down fixture
goes into the hole of the wick holder bracket.
9. Set up the wick cylinder. Temporarily apply and tighten the 4 wing nuts. Make
sure the clearance (through which the wick goes up and down ) between the
wick cylinder and the wick guide is uniform all around. Now tighten up the wing
nuts diagonally.
In fitting the new wick, be careful not to deform the wick holder.
In setting up the wick cylinder, be careful not to get the lead caught.
