10. Fit the control knob to the wick adjusting lever. Tilt down the weight of the
tipover automatic extinguishing device and make sure the wick drops quickly.
Repeat thes step 2 or 3 times fo added safety.
11. Press down the wick adjustment knob
② and make sure that the dimension (c)
between the wick cylinderʼ s top and the wickʼ s tip is 8.5-10mm.
(1) Loosen the coupler screw with a screwdriver.
(2) With the wick adjustment knob held down and the coupler pulled toward
yourself, tighten up the coupler screw.
* Makesure the screw is tight. Othewise the wick may get out of the specified
height, resulting in poor heating.
12. Set the flame baffleʼ s right half onto the side of the wick cylinder. Then fit the
left half onto the side of the wick cylinder just below the right half from the
opposite direction. Catch the left halfʼ s hooks into the right halfʼ s square
holes.
13. At this stage, remove the wick adjustment knob again. Reassenble the heater
and put the refueling tank, combustion chamber and batteries in position.
Place the combustion chamber just from above the wick fuide with the
combustion chamber knob facing the front.
14. Push the wick adjustment knob deep to the wick adjusting lever.
15. Wait for about 30 minutes until you use the heater with the new wick.
16. Be sure that the wick has sucked up enough kerosene. Now make an ignition
test. If it is hard to ignite, reposition the ignition heater.
If the wick fails to drop or goes down too slowly, it means the wick holder is
deformed or the wick running clearance is not uniform. Double-check for the
cause.
Hold down the wick adjustment knob by hand and put a weight on it.
In placing the burner, be careful not to damage the ignition heater.
Do not ignite just after refueling. The wick that does not have enough kerosene
may fail to get the burner red hot.

10. Ajuste la perilla roja a la palanca de ajuste de la mecha. Incline hacia abajo

sea de 8,5 a 10 mm.
Si la mecha no lograra descender o lo hiciera muy despacio, esto podría
significar que el dispositivo de sujeción de la mecha ha sufrido una deformación
o que el espacio libre para el desplazamiento de la mecha no sea uniforme.
Vuelva a comprobar a fin de identificar la causa.
Mantenga presionado el pulsador de ajuste de la mecha y coloque un peso
sobre el mismo.
(1) Afloje el tornillo de acoplamiento con un destornillador.
(2) Manteniendo presionado el pulsador de ajuste de la mecha y tirando del
acoplador hacia usted, proceda a apretar el tornillo de acoplamiento.
* Asegúrese que el tornillo quede apretado. De lo contrario, la mecha podría
salirse de la altura especificada, lo que ocasionaría un calentamiento deficiente.
12. Coloque la mitad derecha del deflector de la llama sobre el lado del
cilindro de la mecha. Posteriormente, coloque la mitad izquierda sobre
el lado del cilindro de la mecha, justo por debajo de la mitad derecha
desde la dirección opuesta. Calce los ganchos de la mitad izquierda en los
cuadrados hembra de la mitad derecha.
13. En esta etapa, vuelva a retirar el pulsador de ajuste de la mecha. Vuelva a
ensamblar el calefactor y coloque el depósito de combustible, la cámara de
combustión y las baterías en su lugar. Coloque la cámara de combustión
justo por encima del fluido de la mecha con la perilla de la cámara de
combustión mirando hacia el frente.
Al colocar el quemador, tenga cuidado de no dañar el sistema de ignición.
14. Presione el botón rojo de ajuste de la mecha hasta el fondo.
15. Espere alrededor de 30 minutos antes de utilizar el calefactor con la nueva
mecha.
No encienda el aparato justo después de haber reabastecido el combustible.
Una mecha sin queroseno o parafina suficiente no lograría poner el quemador
al rojo vivo.
16. Asegúrese que la mecha esté bien empapada de queroseno o parafina.
Ahora puede realizar una prueba de ignición. Si hay alguna dificultad para
efectuar el encendido, compruebe que el sistema de ignición funcione
adecuadamente.
