TUBE FLANGER
1) CONNECT THE CLAMP (IN WHICH THE TUBE HAS BEEN
PLACED) TO THE MAIN UNIT. (FIG. 14)
- Connect the clamp to the main unit by lining up the joints
on the clamp with the indents on the main unit and then, by
turning the main unit in the direction of the arrow until you
hear a click. (Fig. 15)
- The clamp can only be placed on the main unit if the
flanging cone (on the main unit) has fully retracted. If the
cone protrudes, press the lower part of the button to retract
it. After hearing a click (from the clutch) which indicates that
the come has fully retracted, put the switch back to its initial
position. (Fig. 16)
- Remove any foreign objects (metal burrs, etc.) from the
flanging cone.
If the foreign objects are not removed, scratches may occur
on the inner surface of the flange or a gas leak.
2) START FLANGING BY PRESSING AND HOLDING DOWN
THE UPPER PART OF THE SWITCH. THE FLANGING WILL
BE COMPLETED WITHIN 3 SECONDS OF HEARING A CLICK
(FROM THE CLUTCH).
Release the switch to halt the rotation. (Fig. 16)
- If the minimum time (from when the clutch starts working
to when the button is released) is short, this may sometimes
lead to the flanging diameter being too small.
3) PRESS AND HOLD DOWN THE LOWER PART OF THE
SWITCH. THE CONE RETRACTS WHEN IT ROTATES IN THE
OPPOSITE DIRECTION.
- When the flanging cone has fully retracted, you will hear
a click. Put the switch back to the original position. (Fig. 16)
- When the battery has almost run out, there will not be
enough power to invert the rotation, preventing the flanging
cone from returning to its retracted position Therefore, make
sure that the battery is charged before the charge gets too
low.
