1) CHOOSE A CLAMP THAT IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE SIZE
OF THE TUBE AND THEN, POSITION THE TUBE SO THAT
THE END IS RESTING ON THE BLOCKING PLATE. (FIG. 10)
• If there is a gap between the tube and the plate, the
diameter of the flange will be too small.
• The clamp can be opened and close by turning the handle
in one of the directions indicated by the arrow.
• Eliminate all metal burrs from the sleeve, tapered cone
and tube.
2) WHEN REPLACING THE SLEEVE TO CHANGE THE
SIZE, MAKE SURE THAT THE NEW SLEEVE IS CORRECTLY
INSERTED IN THE CLAMP BEFORE TIGHTENING THE BOLT.
(FIG. 11)
• Secure the clamp on the sleeve using a hex wrench
(opposite side: 2.5 mm) and a hex-head bolt (M4x8).
3) MAKE SURE THAT THE TUBE IS CORRECTLY POSITIONED
AND THEN, TIGHTEN IT. (FIG. 12)
• To check that the blocking plate fits correctly against the
tube, try lifting the plate slightly with one finger. If the plate
lifts easily, then it means that there is a gap between it and
the tube, so the tube must be repositioned.
• Turn the handle of the clamp until the clamps are tightened.
• The distance between the sleeves is slightly less that the
external diameter of the tube so that the tube does not
come loose or slip. Therefore, when the tube is blocked, the
exterior will be scratched, but this is not a problem.
• If the handle is too stiff to turn, apply some oil or grease
in the points indicated in the diagram on the right. (Fig. 13)
