After complete ventilation of the unit, first take off the filter plate

Finally remove the receiver plate

containing the filtrates
To obtain the best possible
vacuum, the whole plate has to
be sealed independent off the
number of filled wells. Make sure
the foil is tightly put on the surface
of the filter plate. We recommend
to use a fresh foil for every
filtration.
After the pump starts, press the
filter
plate

shortly but tightly to
the manifold collar (

to ensure
tight fitting of the plate. The pump
stops automatically after ~ 3
minutes, the time required for
filtration of 200
µ
L plasma.
To release the vacuum, press the
ventilation valve button

pressure will fall to 0 at the
pressure gauge

The vacuum pump inside the unit
will generate a vacuum of ~ - 15
inHg (i.e. ~ - 45 kPa), The
