10.2 Cleaning the unit
Switch off the unit before cleaning or performing maintenance by pressing
the POWER button on the control panel or remote control. Wait a few
minutes and then pull the plug out of the wall outlet.
CLEANING THE UNIT
> Clean the unit with a slightly damp cloth and then dry it completely with a
dry cloth.
Never clean the air conditioner with water. Never use petrol, alcohol or
solvents to clean the unit. Never spray insecticides or the like onto the unit.
CLEANING THE FILTER
To ensure that your air conditioner works
efficiently, you should clean the filter every
week when operating.
> The filter can be removed as shown in the
illustration on the right.
> Remove dust accumulations on the filter
with a vacuum cleaner.
> If it is very dirty, immerse it in warm water
and rinse several times. The water should
be lukewarm.
> After washing, let the filter dry completely
and put it back in place.
Never use a filter that is still wet. Doing so
can damage the unit.
CAUTION!
When the filter housing is open, do not
touch the cooling fins inside the unit.
These are sharp and can cause cuts.
