5.1 Connecting the antenna or cable TV (analogue and digital)

Connect the antenna input of the LCD TV to either a
terrestrial antenna
or the
connection socket
of the cable TV or antenna connection.
Please note:
Receiving DVB-T and DVB-C signals at the same time can cause reception problems
for some cable TV and DVB-T programmes.
5.2 Satellite antenna

Use a suitable coaxial cable to connect the
LNB input
of the television with your
outdoor unit.
5.3 DVD player

Connect your DVD player using:
– an HDMI connection cable to an
HDMI connection
or
– a DVI/HDMI connection cable to an
HDMI connection
as well as with an
audio input cable to the
audio (VGA/DVI)
input or the
digital audio input
(S/PDIF electric)
or
– an RCA cable to the
component inputs
of the LCD TV.
5.4 Hifi/surround amplifier
Connect the LCD TV to a hifi/surround amplifier to achieve the best possible sound quality.

If your amplifier is equipped with a suitable electrical or optical input (S/PDIF), connect the
digital audio output
socket (
electrical
or
optical
) to the input of your amplifier.
Depending on the particular programme, sample rates of 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz are
available. Also, if it is broadcast, the Dolby Digital signal (AC3) is present at this output.
5.5 Mains connection
The LCD TV should not be connected to the mains power supply (
230 V/50 Hz
) until after
all the connections with other components have been made. This helps to avoid damage to
the unit as well as to other components.
Connection
