Option 2

Broadcast port setup

1.

Set "Input AGC Mode" to OFF and click submit to apply the setting

2. Apply the channel load of the 50 channels analogue RF load with a level of 15dBmVdBmV to the transmitter

3. Set the Broadcast MGC setting to 16.6dBmV - 15dBmV =

1.6dB

. Click apply to store setting at the transmitter

Narrow cast port setup

1.

Apply the QAM RF load to the NC input of the transmitter at 15dBmV

2. Set NC MGC back off to -6dB by subtracting 6dB from the BC MGC setting (1.6dB) 1.6 - 6 = -4.4dB

3. Set Narrowcast MGC to

-4.4dB

4. Hit apply button to store setting into the transmitter.

6.5 Setup using separate BC and NC RF input in AGC mode

Since no QAM RF signals are used in sample calculation 1 or 2, this setup will use sample calculation
3. For the exact RF calculation please refer to Chapter 6.1.1 sample calculation 3.

Sample calculation 3 details:

Total RF power
50 channels analogue    = 50 analogue equivalent
13 x QAM @ -10dB

= 1.3 analogue equivalent
