6.8 ADJuST THE SEnSITIVITy OF 

   THE ACCELEROMETER

The sensors and software that measure 

movement in Speed & Distance mode 

are adjustable. In nearly all cases, level 

1 (least sensitive) is ideal for most users 

and will produce the most accurate 

results. If you have a very gentle/smooth 

gate, a more sensitive setting may be 

necessary.

  Note: A discrepancy in actual distance 

walked and the distance measured by the 

Traileader is not usually a sensitivity issue 

but rather an adjustment needed to the 

stride lengths. The exception to this rule 

is when a “normal” user has entered a 

higher sensitivity than is necessary.
