Power ON / OFF
Connect the power cord and signal cable of the unit.
Then, press the POWER button on the front panel to turn the unit on
(
R
). The power indicator on the front panel is on and the unit is in
normal operating mode now.
To turn the unit off, press the POWER button on the front panel.
The button is set to the off position (
E
), and the power indicator and
eventually the unit are off. Disconnect the AC power cord from the
main outlet when the appliance is not used for a long period of time.
Band selection
Pressing the BAND button on the front panel or the remote control
will toggle through FM/AM/AUTO.
When you select FM mode, “M” (MHz) is lit in the display and “F”
appears after the station code.
Example:
For 01F 104.30M,
“01” is the station code, “F” is for FM, and “104.30M” is the station
frequency.
When you select AM mode, “K” (KHz) is lit and “A” appears in the
display after the station code.
Example:
For 01A 1404K,
“01” is the station code, “A” is for AM, and “1404K” is the station
frequency.
When you select FM AUTO mode, “AT”, “F”, “M” and the station code
are all shown in the display.
Example:
For 01F 104.30M,
“ST” is stereo reception, “AT” is FM AUTO mode, “F” is for FM, and
“104.30M” is the station frequency.
FM/AM reception band
Auto selection:
Press the Band button for “FM” or “AM”.
Press and hold down the TUNING
j
button (

) to tune in a lower
frequency. When a station is found, the tuning process will stop
automatically. The display shows “ ”.
Press the TUNING
k
button (

) to tune in a higher frequency.
When a station is found, the tuning process will stop automatically.
The display shows “ ”.
Manual selection:
Press the MODE button and the station frequency will blink in the
display. Turn the TUNING knob on the front panel or hold down either
TUNING

or
k
button (

or
,
) and release it when the
station you want to listen to is found. The frequency changes in fixed
steps; “FM” is 50KHz, and “AM” is 9KHz.
Direct input selection:
Input the frequency of the broadcast you want to hear with the
number buttons.
Example:
When you know a station frequency, you can directly input that
frequency to select that station. When you know that the FM
station frequency is 104.30MHz, press the FREQ button on the
remote control and “------M” appears in the display. Then, press
numbers 1, 0, 4, 3, and 0 in sequence.
When the first number is bigger than 1, the display begins
o
with the second number. When the first number is 1, the
second number shows as "0".
In FM mode, the last number you pressed is bigger than or
o
equal to 5 shows as "5", and the number less than 5 shows as
"0".
