Manual Con fi guration
The logical ampli fi er con fi guration de fi ned in Synapse is sent to the PZ5 and applied when the
recording begins. However, the touchscreen interface can also be used to con fi gure logical
ampli fi ers on-the- fl y.
For analog ampli fi ers, touch the + icon to add a logical ampli fi er. Set the Amp Type
and number of channels in the screen that follows. See Amp Type Selection Screen
for more information. Adjust ampli fi er con fi guration options in the next screen. See
Con fi guration Options Screen for more information.
For digital ampli fi ers, the + icon has a square wave through it. Set the number of digital boards
to include in the logical ampli fi er and the ampli fi er con fi guration options in the screen that
follows. See Con fi guration Options Screen for more information.
Amp Type Selection Screen
Enter the Amp Type Selection screen by touching the + icon on the Main Con fi guration screen
or by touching the Amp Type button on the Con fi guration Options Screen for an existing logical
ampli fi er.
Select the Amp Type and set the number of channels in the logical ampli fi er (by banks of 16
channels for analog ampli fi ers).
To return to the Main Con fi guration screen, swipe three fi ngers across the screen in any direction.
