YC Modules
The output voltage can be adjusted from the factory set point across the range
shown in the datasheet by performing the following operation:
Apply AC power
Individually adjust both potentiometers, situated to the right of the signal
connectors, so that the output voltage of each board assembly is 50% of
the desired output voltage. Turning the potentiometer clockwise increases
the output voltage.
Confirm that the module has the desired output voltage
The remote sense provides compensation for a maximum total load cable drop of 0.5V for the output. The
voltage at the output terminals must be within the specified adjustment range. Connect J1 Pin 8 to J2 Pin 7.
See the Remote Sense section in the POWER SUPPLY OPERATION chapter for connection advice.
Signals
The Module Good signal is an isolated (200V from the output) opto-coupler transistor output. The maximum
current allowed through the transistor is 1mA. This signal provides an indication that the output is above 90% of
the output set voltage. The transistor
is on when the output is “good”.
It is highly recommended to connect a 1uF 50V X7R ceramic capacitor between J1 Pin 3 and J2 Pin 4. This will
avoid a voltage spike / false triggering of the Module Good signal during turn on. This is due to the series
connection of the Module Good signals in the Y modules.
