Once the program is launched, a new window will automatically appear that will ask the permission to power the programmer with 5V. Press the
button “OK”.

If the connection between the device and the programmer PicKit3 is successful, in the
Output > Pickit3
window there wil be a string
that will mention “Device ID revision …”. In case the there is no such string or in case there is a red string, it means that
the connection
was not successful. Please check the physical connection to the charger and repeat the step.
8-
Press the “READ” button to read the EEPROM from
the charger.
