SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

-

Never exceed the maximum capacity of the beam clamp. Only attach a hoist having a
rated capacity equal to or less than the capacity of the beam clamp.

-

Ensure that the beam clamp has the correct capacity for the load to be lifted and that the
beam will not be damaged by overloading.

-

Ensure that the beam onto which the clamp will be assembled has sufficient capacity and
is installed accordingly.

-

Before assembling a beam clamp, the operator should inspect the clamp for wear or

damage. Never use a clamp that inspection indicates damaged.

-

Ensure stops are securely installed at both ends of the beam prior to using the clamp.

-

Before lifting a load ensure that the clamp has been tightened and that the lifting appli-
ance is fitted correctly into the eye of the clamp.

-

Ensure that the clamp is fitted correctly over the centre of gravity of the item being lifted
and will not be subjected to side loading.

-

Make sure all people are clear of the load path. Do not lift a load over people.

-

Avoid collision or bumping of the clamp.

-

Do not swing a suspended load.

-

Do not make any changes to the clamp.

WARNING! The warnings and instructions given in this instruction manual cannot
cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur on the worksite. It
must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors,
which cannot be built into any product, but must be applied by the operator.
