Cleaning
Filter Replacement Procedure
This projector has a filter installed to protect the internal optical parts and electronic parts from sand and dust.
When the filter becomes clogged, the internal temperature of the projector rises, and if the projector continues to be used in this
condition, activation of the thermal protector will turn off the power. Such use will shorten the service life of the projector or cause
breakdown.
• Replace the filter periodically. The projector is supplied with one set of replacement filters.
• Replacement filters can also be obtained at dealers. When ordering, please specify replacement filter model KG-FDPD185,
order code 000-259. (The same item as the supplied item)
• When used in a location that especially has a lot of sand or dust, a replacement filter having even higher dust collection
efficiency is recommended. Please specify model KG-FDPD196, order code 000-261.

CAUTION
• When replacing the filter, please replace the Main filter and the Sub filter at the same time.
• Do not wash the filter with cold or hot water, and do not wipe with a cloth or moist rag. Doing so will cause clogging of
the filter.
• Don’t forget to install the filter. If the projector is left without installing the filter or is used without a filter, sand or dust
will enter the inside of the projector and the image quality will be degraded or this will cause breakdown.
• If the filter has been damaged, be sure to replace it with a new filter. Using a damaged filter will allow sand or dust to
enter the inside of the projector and this will cause the image quality to be degraded.
