On the left-hand side of the screen will be
displayed the indicator of blood pressure
classification in accordance with the
parameters of the WHO (Fig. 4).
- When 1 minute has passed since the last
measurement, the appliance will automati-
cally pass into standby mode.
Reading values stored in the memory:
- The last measurement, together with the
date and time it was taken, is automatica-
lly stored in the memory selected (U1, U2
or U3). Each group of memories contains
a maximum of 30 measurements.
- In order to consult previous measure-
ments, press the memory button when
the appliance is in “stop” mode. The
LCD screen will display for a period of 5
seconds the relevant memory (U1, U2 o
U3) and the number of measurements
stored. Press the start button to select
another memory group and the screen will
then display the last measurement stored
for the memory selected.
- Press the memory button to see the
measurements stored in chronological
order.
- When the appliance has not been in
use for 2 minutes, it will return to “stop”
mode automatically.
Deletion of memories:
- In order to delete memories, hold the
memory button down for 3 seconds when
in the memory reading function. All the
memories will be deleted when you hear
3 “beeps”.
Once you have finished using the
appliance:
- Turn the appliance off using the on/off
switch for 5 seconds.
- Remove the batteries from the appliance
if you are not going to use it for some
time.
- Clean the appliance
Practical recommendations:
- Avoid eating, smoking and intensive
activity in the 30 minutes before taking
the measurement.
- Remain seated and ensure that the wrist
cuff is at heart level when taking the
measurement. The accuracy of the measu-
rement will be affected if the wrist cuff is
above or below the level of the heart.
- Do not speak or move your arm or body
when taking the measurement.
- Let at least 1 minute pass between mea-
surements so as to relax the circulation of
the blood in the arm.
- Always place the wrist cuff on the left
wrist.
Special messages:
The following messages can appear on
the screen:
- The screen displays a battery symbol
(P): This means that you must change the
batteries and insert new ones.
- Error symbol EE (S): This means that
the expansion of the wrist cuff has been
insufficient, or that there has been
interference during its expansion or
another malfunction. In such cases the
measurement must be repeated.
