3.8.2 

Track rod 

 

Due to a recent failure of the track rod ball joint PN: 010009014, MSV request all teams check the track rod 
ball joints for signs of cracks. 
 
All teams are reminded that checking the suspension and steering components including track rod ball joints 
should be part of the regular routine maintenance of the car. 
 
It may be necessary to use a dye penetrant crack detector or a magnifying loupe to identify cracks.
