In case one ore more channel with a TEDS UNIQUE ID was found, following different cases can happen:
A new UNIQUE ID was found: The TEDS database editor will be opened and the channel setting for this Sensor
can be entered, or this new ID will be ignored. That depends on the setting under
Options – Settings – TEDS.
A known UNIQUE ID was found: The in the TEADS database saved setting will be loaded to this channel. This
function can be also switched off via
Options – Settings – TEDS.
If both options are switched off in
Options – Settings – TEDS
, there will be only a window popup, which display
the UNIQUE ID and the relevant channel number.
The function of the TEDS editor will be explained in a further chapter TEDS configurator.
5.1.7. Check UDMS
This function is only available, if a sensor type with current or voltage power supply is selected. By execution of
this function a help text appears, which explains that the output signal of this channel will be short switched to
ground
and then to the sensor voltage supply and back over
ground
to the sensor signal. This function enables to
control the voltage of the sensor supply with an external measurement device.
5.1.8. Check temperature
This is a diagnosis function of
preAmpLTT
. It control and display the internal temperature of the LTT500 device
by each channel. The internally working temperature should be in a range of 25°C to 45°C and the difference
between the channels should be up to 10°C.
Advice:
The analogue output channel(s) will be short switched to ground during check temperature procedure.
Do not start this function, if an important measurement takes place, as the analogue output will be short
switched to ground.
5.1.9. Turn Off channel
The LTT500 universal amplifier is build also for mobile use at 12V battery power. The option to turn off one or
mor channel can extend the battery live time, as less power consumption takes place.
To turn off channels, you select the channel(s) and execute the function „Turn off channels“. A popup comes up
and ask you to confirm this function. After confirmation the channels(s) will be electrical switched off and the
software mark those channels as switched off.
The popup dialog can be deactivated by Options – Settings – Confirmations „warn before turn off device“.
Advice
: The turn off of channel can be blocked under
Options – Settings – Extended
.
A switched off channel can be reactivated by „Rescan of device“ (F12 key) or by power off and on of the full
device.
5.2. Selection of sensor type
In the second column of channel control the sensor type can be selected. By the context menu (right mouse
click) or the hotkey ALT+2 can following sensor types be selected:
