Erasing discs
This applies to CD-RW media only. You cannot erase
CD-R discs that have been recorded.

MODE
key until the display shows:

for the next stage, otherwise

. If there is a slave drive into
which a target disc has not been loaded, the
display alternates:

Insert any discs to be erased in the slave
drives, close the trays and wait for the indica-
tors to go out. Then press
ENTER
.
As the discs are erased, the display shows:
NOTE
You should take care that you do not leave any CD-RW
discs that you want to retain in the slave drive trays!
Finding out about your CD-D1x4
In the event of any questions about your CD-D1x4,
you may need to discover the drive type and firm-
ware versions of the five drives installed in the unit.
