Hydraulic Chute

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

4. Adjusting Hydraulic Pressure

A. Locate the  set screw situated

to the left of the Hydraulic

Control Valve leavers.

B. Using a 9/16” open end

wrench, remove the set

screw cover, exposing the

pressure adjustment screw.

C. Using a 9/16” open end

wrench, loosen the jam nut

and back it off allowing for

modification of the pressure

adjustment screw.

D. Using a standard flat-blade

screwdriver, rotate the adjustment

screw clockwise to increase pressure

and counterclockwise to decrease

pressure until the desired pressure is

achieved. An optimum working

pressure of 1100-1200psi is required

while the pump is engaged and under

a load.

E. Use 9/16” open end wrench to tighten

the jam nut to prevent unwanted

movement of the adjustment. Replace

and tighten the set screw cover.

5. Adjusting Hydraulic Cylinder Arms

A. To adjust hydraulic cylinder, pull

cotter pin out from grooved slot

on clevis bolt located in center

of the cylinder control arm.

B. Pull clevis bolt out of cylinder

control arm.

C. Raise cylinder shaft upward,

until it is free from control arm.

The CattleMaster

hydraulic chute has 3

fully-adjustable hydraulic

cylinder arms (located on

top of chute) that can

be adjusted (in or out)

to fine-tune the operation

of each cylinder’s control

independently.

D. Loosen locking bolt

located on top of the

black end of the head

piece on cylinder shaft.

E. Grab black end of the

cylinder head and turn.

Threading out will

make the doors come

closer together and

threading in will make

the doors wider.

F.  When adjustment is

completed, tighten

locking bolt and lower

cylinder shaft until

clevis bolt fits back into

center of cylinder head

and control arm.

G. Place cotter pin back

into slot of clevis pin.
