Will the Removal of the Seal Void the Guarantee?
Answer: You may open the case, but you will lose the guarantee for claims of mis-
sing components, i.e. after removing the seal you cannot claim for missing parts.
Warning: When original components get damaged during the installation of third-
party devices, you will lose the guarantee on these components.
Why does My Computer Show a Smaller Hard Disk Size than the Advertised
Size, e.g. 466GB Instead of the Advertised 500GB?
Answer: The reason is the different units used for calculating this value. All manu-
facturer documents use units referring to base 10 digits. Therefore, 500 GB corre-
spond to 500 billion bytes (this is a 500 followed by 9 zeros). However, the com-
puter uses units based on the factor 1,024.
1 GByte are 1024 * 1024 * 1024 Byte = 1 073 741 824 Byte. Thus, for the computer
1 GB is a little more than 1 billion bytes. The conversion of the (decimal) 500 GB is:
(500 billion) divided by (1 073 741 824) = approx. 466 GB in units of 1024 for the
computer.
How Can I Enable and Configure the Autorun of CDs/DVDs in Windows?
Answer: The Windows Autoplay function attempts to detect automatically what type
of CD/DVD has been inserted into the drive and opens it within the appropriate
application. If you insert a Picture CD, a photo viewer will be launched, for music
CDs the Media Player will start, etc.

First, click Start/Control Panel to open Control Panel. In the Vista view click the
link Play CDs and other media automatically . If you’re using the Classic view,
select the Autoplay icon with a double click.

A new window will appear containing all possible media and their contents, e.g.
Audio CD , DVD Movie , Picture , Video files etc. Next to each type of content a list
with the corresponding installed programme will appear.

Here you can select the desired programme to open any kind of content. If you
select the option Use automatic playback for all media and devices in the upper
left corner a CD/DVD will be played with this programme when inserted.
