edit and change the files. Furthermore you will be able to copy files from another
computer into this folder. This is very important for exchanging data.
The option Turn off sharing will only make sense if you do not want to share any
data over the network.
Click Apply to confirm the changes.

If you have a printer connected to any of your desktop or notebook computers
you can share it by using the option Printer sharing . This will allow every network
user to print on this printer when it’s connected to a different computer or even
when it is located in a different room.
The option Password protected sharing provides further security. It will only allow
access to the shared network printer when a user account has been set up on the
desktop or notebook computer where the printer is connected. Therefore, if you try
to access the folder
Public , Windows will prompt you for your user name and
password. As soon as you have logged in properly, access is granted.
The option Media sharing allows you to share pictures, music and video files over
the network. This is especially interesting when you have a Media Receiver. It
allows you to pick this type of file from the network and play it on a TV set.

After you have made and saved all required settings you can close the window
Network and Sharing Center. Your network is now fully configured and can be used.
To do this, open Windows Explorer. In the Network section you’ll see all connected
computers and their corresponding shared folders. You will be able to access those
folders and printers easily.
