Setting the first
printing line (TOF)
You can use the TOF function for setting the vertical position of the first
printing line.
To adjust the first printing line vertically, proceed as follows:
1.
Either transport fanfold paper to the next top of form position or feed an
inserted single sheet by pressing the
FF/LOAD
key.
2.
Make sure that the printer is in offline mode; press the
SEL
key, if
necessary.
3.
Hold the
SHIFT
key depressed and use the
Micro Feed Down
or
Micro Feed Up
keys to adjust the desired first printing line.
Each micro feed will feed the paper down or up in 1/180 inch increments
(24 wire) or 1/144 inch increments (9 wire).
4.
After releasing the key, the new adjusted first printing line is saved.
The mark
A
on the transparent
paper protective cover of the print-
head can be helpful if you want to
adjust the first printing line.
