Chapter 3

Control panel

The control panel and the keys are used for controlling the printer operation.
The control panel consists of nine keys for controlling the printer functions
and four LEDs displaying the status of the printer. The function of the keys
depends on the mode of the printer.

LED indicators

The LED lights of the control panel indicate the current status of the printer.

Status

POWER

On: the printer is switched on. Off: the printer is switched off.

SEL

On: the printer is in Online mode and ready to receive data from
the computer.
Off: the printer is in Offline mode and cannot receive data.

3

QUIET

On: the printer is in Quiet mode which reduces the printing noise
by decreasing the print speed.
Off: the printer is in normal printing mode.
