USING THE DEMONSTRATION SYSTEM
Dialing in to TalkSwitch unit 1
You can dial in to TalkSwitch unit 1 using the dial-in phone connected to E5 or the cordless
phone connected to E6. Refer to the following table.
Demonstration 1
1.
Auto attendant
— Using the dial-in phone, dial

. Extensions 111 and 112 will first ring
twice, and then auto attendant 1 will play.
2.
Call cascade
— At auto attendant 1, dial
111
. Extension 111 will first ring twice, and then
the cordless phone will start ringing. Record your name when prompted.
3.
Call screening
— Answer the ringing cordless phone. The system will play your recorded
name. Press
to reject the call and route it to voicemail. (Note that you would press
to accept the call).
4.
Voicemail
— Leave a message when prompted.
5.
Cell phone notification
— Within ten seconds, the cordless phone will ring to notify you of
the new voicemail message. Answer the cordless phone, press
to accept the call, and
then dial
1
to listen to the message. While listening to the message you can demonstrate
message playback functions (e.g. rewind, fast forward, etc.). Dial

to erase the message.
Do
not hang up the cordless phone.

Conference call
— Using the cordless phone, press
to reach the system greeting, and
then dial

. Answer extension 111, and then press

. Answer extension 112.
Using extension 111, press

. This connects the cordless phone, extension 111 and
extension 112 together in a conference call.
7.
Conclusion
— Hang up all phones to end the demonstration.
Demonstration 2 — Call queueing
1. Using extension 111, dial
112
. Answer extension 112. You now have an intercom call
between 111 and 112.
2. Using the dial-in phone, dial

. Auto attendant 1 will play.
3. At auto attendant 1, dial
112
. Since 112 is busy, the system will queue the call.
4. Using extension 112, wait until you hear a beep. Press
Flash 7
to toggle between extension
111 and the dial-in phone.
5. Hang up all phones to end the demonstration.
