Preferred ASIO Buffer Size
The ASIO buffer is used to exchange sample data between the driver and an application
which is used for playback.
In most cases, the default settings are sufficient for playback.
However, you can additionally configure the driver for the best quality of your system.
Each of the sample modes increases the USB buffer and is indicated in number of
samples and milliseconds (ms) in the ASIO Status (both for latency on input and output).
Note! Depending on the digital stream format, the information about the sample rate may
not be displayed correctly.

There are different programs available that allow to play music from high-resolution files.
You can use a freeware PC music player for Windows

to play files using, for instance
“foobar2000”.
