PRECAUTIONS IN USE
Installation Location
For installation, select a stable location near the television or
stereo system with which the unit will be used.
To ensure long product life, avoid installing this
unit in the following locations:
•
Locations exposed to direct sunlight
•
Humid or poorly ventilated areas
• Areas of extreme temperatures
•
Areas with vibration
•
Dusty or smoky areas
•
Areas exposed to grease fumes, steam or heat
(such as a kitchen)
Do not place objects on top of the unit
Do not place ob

ects on top of the TAD-DA1000.
To prevent adverse affects of heat
Do not install the TAD-DA1000 on top of amplifiers or other
components that generate heat. When installing in a rack,
try by all means to install the TAD-DA1000 in a position
below amplifiers or other components that generate heat.
Turn off power when not in use
Depending on the signal condition of television broadcasts,
if the television is turned on when the TAD-DA1000 is already
on, a noise may appear on the television screen. Audible
noise may likewise occur when listening to the radio when
TAD-DA1000 is already turned on. This phenomenon does
not indicate a malfunction of either the television, radio
tuner, or the TAD-DA1000. In this event, turn off the power to
the TAD-DA1000.
Maintenance
To clean the TAD-DA1000, use a polishing cloth to gently
wipe the unit
’
s surface to remove dust. If the surface is
extremely dirty, wipe with a soft cloth dipped in neutral
cleanser diluted five to six times with water and wrung out
well. Do not use volatile chemicals such as paint thinner or
benzenes, as these may corrode the surface of the panels.
Do not use sprays such as insecticides around the TAD-
DA1000. If you plan on using a chemical cleaning cloth, read
the precautionary statements of the chemical cleaning cloth
before using.
