Precautions in use

installation Location

For installation, select a stable location near the television

or stereo system with which the unit will be used.
Do not set the TAD-D600 on top of a television or color

monitor. Also, separate the TAD-D600 from a cassette
deck or any other component susceptible to magnetic
influence.

to ensure long product life, avoid installing this
unit in the following locations:

Locations exposed to direct sunlight.

Humid or poorly ventilated areas.

Areas of extreme temperatures.

Areas with vibration.

Dusty or smoky areas.

Areas exposed to grease fumes, steam or heat

(such as a kitchen).

Do not place objects on top of the unit

Do not place objects on top of the TAD-D600

to prevent adverse affects of heat

Do not install the TAD-D600 on top of amplifiers or other
components that generate heat. When installing in a rack,
try by all means to install the TAD-D600 in a position below
amplifiers or other components that generate heat.

turn off power when not in use

Depending on the signal condition of television broadcasts,
if the television is turned on when the TAD-D600 is already
on, a noise may appear on the television screen. Audible
noise may likewise occur when listening to the radio when
TAD-D600 is already turned on. This phenomenon does not
indicate a malfunction of either the television, radio tuner,
or the TAD-D600. In this event, turn off the power to the
TAD-D600.

Moving the taD-D600

If you must move the TAD-D600, first remove any disc loaded
and close the disc tray. Press the

DISC PLAYER

 button

so that the

[-OFF-]

indicator in the display goes out, then

unplug the power cord. Never move the unit with a disc
loaded, since damage may result.

caution for when the unit is installed in a rack
with a glass door

Do not press the

h

OPEN/CLOSE

 on the remote control to

open the disc tray while the glass door is closed. The door
will hamper the movement of the disc tray, and the unit
could be damaged.

Maintenance

For everyday cleaning of the TAD-D600, wipe lightly with the
provided polishing cloth (dry). If the surface is extremely
dirty, wipe with a soft cloth dipped in neutral cleanser diluted
five to six times with water and wrung out well. Do not use
volatile chemicals such as paint thinner or benzenes, as
these may corrode the surface of the panels. Do not use
sprays such as insecticides around the TAD-D600. If you plan
on using a chemical cleaning cloth, read the precautionary
statements of the chemical cleaning cloth before using.

regarding condensation

During the winter or cool seasons, condensation may form
inside the player if it is brought into a warm room from
outside or other cold location, or if the temperature of the
room where the player is installed is raised too quickly.
When condensation forms inside the player, it may not
operate properly or at all. In this event, turn on the unit’s
power and allow it to stand for 1 to 2 hours so that the
condensation evaporates as the player acclimatizes to the
room’s temperature, and the unit will become playable
again. Condensation may also form in the summer if a
room’s air conditioner is directed directly at the TAD-D600.
In this event, change the location of the player away from the
airstream of the air conditioner.
