Incorrect operations are often mistaken for trouble and malfunctions. If you think that there is something wrong with this
component, check the points below. Sometimes the trouble may lie in another component. Investigate the other components
and electrical appliances being used. If the trouble cannot be rectified even after exercising the checks listed below, ask your
dealer.

When the TAD-D600’s power is turned on, if

the power cord is suddenly disconnected or
a power interruption occurs, the contents of
recorded settings may be lost.
The power cord is disconnected from the

TAD-D600’s AC IN connector.
Only disconnect the power cord after setting
'
the power switch to OFF, and confirming that
the display contents have disappeared. Take
particular precautions if the TAD-D600’s
power cord is connected to the auxiliary
power connector on another component,
and the TAD-D600’s power supply is linked to
the ON/OFF switch of the other component.
If at all possible, connect the TAD-D600’s
power cord to its own dedicated wall outlet.
Be sure to connect the power cord securely

to the AC IN connector.
No sound.
Confirm that the audio cable plugs are
'
connected securely.
Are the connected audio cables broken or
'
cut? Or is there soiling on the connectors?
Is the disc dirty?

Is the play operation set to pause?

Is the sound volume of the connected

amplifier set too low?
Connect audio cables securely.

Check the plugs and jacks on the audio

cables and the TAD-D600’s audio output
connectors, as well as on the audio input
connectors of the amplifier to which it
is connected. Clean the connectors if
necessary.
Clean the disc.

When connecting to an amplifier, check the

input settings and speaker settings.
Sound is distorted.
Is the unit connected to the amplifier’s

PHONO connector?
In the case of a SACD disc, the recording

level is set higher than proper ratings.

Volume level is
different when playing
SACD compared to
CDs
A difference may occur due to different

recording formats for the two kinds of discs.
This is not a malfunction of this unit.

Some recorders may be unable to record

Recording may not be possible when playing

CD-R or other discs with copy protection.

Static electricity or other external influences may cause malfunctioning of this unit. In this case, unplug the power cord and
then plug back in. This will usually reset the unit for proper operation. If this does not correct the problem, please consult
your dealer.
