Chapter 01:
Gettng Started
NOTE: When you first connect the tablet into an external power
source, the battery charge indicator will begin to glow amber. When
the battery is fully charged the indicator will turn green. (See the
section entitled Battery Care for tips on maximizing battery life and
performance.)
Step 3: Connecting applicable peripherals and networking
cables (optional)
If you have any eternal perpherals you’d lke to use wth the
tablet (.e. USB mouse, USB keyboard, etc.) or are plannng to
connect to the nternet and/or corporate LAN usng a wred
connecton (RJ-45) as opposed to wrelessly, connect them now
(see the net secton, Gettng to know your Tablet PC, to dentfy
whch ports to use).
Step 4: Powering on the Sahara Slate PC
Locate the three power swtches on the top on the tablet. The
far left swtch (closest to the PCMCIA Epanson slot) s the
computer’s man power toggle. Slde t toward the rght sde of
the unt and hold t there untl t emts a blue glow (about one to
two seconds) and then release t. The Sahara Slate PC wll now
boot up.
