5. When finished, tap OK to save and close the file.
When you close a newly created document, it is automatically named after
the first several words in the document and placed in the Word Mobile
document list. You can easily rename the document with a more meaningful
name and move it to another folder or a storage card.
Note Word Mobile does not fully support some features of Microsoft Word
such as revision marks and password protection. Some data and
formatting may be lost when you save the document on your MDA
Touch Plus. To see a complete list of features that are not supported
in Word Mobile, see Help on your MDA Touch Plus.
9.2 Microsoft® Office Excel® Mobile
Microsoft® Office Excel® Mobile makes it easy for you to open and edit
Excel workbooks and templates created on your PC. You can also create
new workbooks and templates on your MDA Touch Plus.
Note By default, Excel Mobile saves the file in the .xlsx format. You can
change the file format by tapping Menu > Options (with no sheet
opened) and then changing the Template for new workbook to
Blank 97-2003 Workbook
. If you want to save the file in the .xlsx
format and read the file on a PC that uses Microsoft Office 2003 or
earlier versions, you need to download and install the File Format
Converter from the Microsoft Web site (http://www.microsoft.com/
downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=94B3470-3AE9-4AEE-8F43-
C6BB74CD466&displaylang=en) on your PC.
