Volume and balance settings
VOL
This rotary knob is used to set your preferred volume in accurate 1 dB
increments. The value currently set is displayed on the screen.
A long press on this knob switches to balance adjustment: turning the knob to
left or right then alters the balance in the corresponding direction. Press the
knob again long to conclude the adjustment and save the setting.
This knob controls the system menu as well as the volume level. (see Chapter

Continuous listening to programme material at very high volume can result in
permanent loss of hearing. You can avoid subsequent health problems by
avoiding continuous listening at high volume
Output settings
This button switches the pre-amplifier output of the
PA 2500 R
on and off. The
button lights up when the output is switched on.
If in the configuration menu the menu item „Headphones on/off“ is set to
„manual“, a long press on this button switch the headphone output on or off.

A brief press on this button switches the loudspeakers on in turn:

A long press switches the loudspeaker outputs off.
The current switched state can be displayed either on-screen or by means of
different colours of the

This button glows red, if the output signal is clipped. To protect against clipping,
the
PA 2500 R
has a protection circuit (See chapter entitled
).
System settings, tone settings
Briefly pressing
this button opens and closes the
tone control menu

mode on.
The button lights up when
FLAT
mode is active.
The
FLAT
function by-passes the tone control section of the amplifier, thereby
disabling the tone controls
(bass and treble controls). The frequency
response is then absolutely linear.

switches the Loudness (volume-dependent tone adjustment) on
and off.

Socket for stereo headphones with a minimum impedance of 50

Note regarding the use of headphones
