Equalizer settings
Now select the highest value, and set an equalizer at this frequency. Select the
reduction in such a way that the curve in the table is as even as possible.
Example: if an emphasis by six fields occurs at 45 Hz, then you should set
equalizer 1 to 50 Hz and -7.5 dB.
Repeat this procedure starting from track 2 (right: track 22). The equalizer you
have just set may need to be re-adjusted subsequently. If the setting is good,
then the next equalizer can be adjusted to correct the next emphasis, if any (in
our example 100 Hz).
It is important to adjust only one equalizer at a time, and then to record the
measured data again, before you adjust a second equalizer.
The
P 3100 HV
’s equalizers allow maximum amplification of 6 dB, correspon-
ding to four times the power at the nominal frequency. This could overload the
loudspeakers mechanically and electrically. The amplification function of the
equalizers must always be used very cautiously!
