Power Supply
The power supply is on the base PCB and consists of a mains transformer which
steps the controller Voltage down to 24Vac.
Memory
The controller stores all non-volatile data in an E
2
PROM such as the user set control
parameters. This means that in the event of a power failure or separation of the
controller and base unit the user set parameters will be maintained without having to
rely on battery support. The battery (3.6V Lithium AA) will power the clock whilst the
controller is powered off for a period of typically 1 year of continuous use. The
typical shelf life of the battery is 10 years.
