MENU SYSTEM
The menu system on the C400xr Audio
Codec has been designed to allow the
user to configure the unit with ease. Five
keys are used to drive the menu system :-

DOWN
RIGHT / EDIT
YES
CONFIRM EDIT
NO
ABORT EDIT / LEFT(BACK)
Unit Description
The software release and serial number of
the unit are displayed on the Title screen
as follows :-

ISDN Status
The status of the ISDN B Channels is
accessed by pressing the
button when
the Title Screen is shown, and is dis-
played as follows :-
B1: Ready B2: Ready
B3: Ready B4: Ready
The ISDN status options are:
load (loading patch)
Ready (layer 1 activated)
Synch (Bad Line)
Dorm (dormant)
Dial (dialling)
Con (connected)
Clear (clearing)
Incom (incoming)
Note: If the C400xr is configured in X.21 Mode,
the ISDN port can still function, however the
audio will not be routed through to the ISDN
connector.
Audio Status
The status of the received audio and the
current operating mode of the codec is
accessed by pressing the
button, and is
displayed in the following format :-
AUDIO STATUS: SYNC
MODE: 15KHz Stereo
The C400xr has been designed to Mute the
audio signal if end-to-end synchronisation
is not achieved. The operating Mode shown
here is the actual mode in which the codec
has achieved end-to-end synchronisation,
and not necessarily the configured mode,
since the C400xr has the capability of
intelligently changing the mode depending
on the Audio Priority and Auto Hunt con-
figurations.
Select Patch
The select patch menu is used to load one
of the 26 available patches (memories).
Once loaded, the user may edit the set-
tings associated with the selected patch.
MENU : Select Patch
STATUS : PATCH A
The button is used to edit the current
selection, the display changes as follows:
EDIT : Select Patch
OPTION : PATCH A
The and buttons can be used to
select the required patch:
OPTIONS : PATCH A to PATCH Z
The
YES
button is used to confirm the
selection, the
NO
button to abort the edit.
Modify Patch
The next menu is the modify Patch /
Memory screen:
MENU : Modify Patch
STATUS : PATCH A
The button is used to enter the next
level of the menu system, which allows
the user to modify the parameters associ-
ated with each patch.
Patch Name
MENU : Patch Name
STATUS : PATCH A
The button can now be used to edit the
patch name, the display changes as
follows:
EDIT : Patch Name
