Limit value
flow-rate-based
leakage
To protect against leakage, we measure the flow rate (flow volume)
during filling. If the flow rate exceeds the set limit value, one assumes
that there is a leak. The system aborts the refill process and notifies the
suspected case of leakage.

conductance sensor
Measuring the conductance of the soft water at the outlet is another
possibility to detect an empty cartridge. If the system detects increased
water hardness, the device will stop the filling or refill process, switch
to error mode and signal the corresponding error. Conductance
measurements are only done when using HVE or HVE Plus-cartridges.
Acoustic signal
If the system detects a leak or an error, in addition to the notification
on the display, there can be an acoustic signal (buzzer) given. This
function can be deactivated.
External OUT
If the system detects a leak or an error, this can be notified by a
potential-free relay contact in addition to the display and the buzzer
sound. This signal can be captured at the external outlet OUT. The
potential-free contact is fed externally with a maximum voltage of 24
V. Load is at 2 A maximum.
Device information
In addition to system information, e.g. serial number, firmware
version or code number, flow sensor and pressure information as
well as conductance and meter readings of the filling process can
be obtained. Meter readings for instance will give information on
the duration and volume of the latest filling process as well as their
corresponding sums. You can also retrieve information on the latest
refill, when it was done and which errors were detected and logged in
the error memory.
