Single Digit Plan and Audiotext messages
You may access a group of extensions by dialing a single digit. When you press 4 for
the Single Digit Plan, you will hear the following prompt:
Press 1 to Edit
Press 2 to Review
The
Synectix VMS Lite
supports Audiotext messages and these are also programmed
under the Single Digit Plan. A maximum of 32 Audiotext messages are allowed. While
programming the Audiotext menus, the extension length is not considered and the
entries must correspond to the fixed pattern outlined below irrespective of the
Extension length.
To program an Audiotext menu for a digit, the first entry must always be a 3-digit
number in the range of 901 to 932. Here, the first digit 9 signifies that the entries that
follow are Audiotext entries and the next 2 digits correspond to the Message number.
The entries that follow this 3-digit entry must be 2 digit numbers in the range 01 to 32
corresponding to the message numbers and a maximum of 6 such message numbers
may be entered for any single digit.
For example, to program an Audiotext menu for the digit 3, if you want the caller to
hear the Audiotext message no. 5 when they press the digit 3 at the Main greeting, the
first entry in the Single digit plan must be 905, which signifies that the Audiotext
message no. 5 is played back when the caller presses the digit 3 at the Main greeting.
Further, if this Audiotext message no 5 gives further menu options for digits 1, 2, 3 and
4 and you want the Audiotext message numbers 2, 7, 8 and 12 to play back
correspondingly for the digits 1,2,3 and 4 – then the complete entry for the single digit
3 will be 905 02 07 08 12.
