Programming the LS 6800

 

Serial Response Timeout

 

This parameter determines the maximum period allowed to elapse before the scanner 
assumes end of transmission. The delay period can range from 0 to 9.9 seconds.

To set a serial (RS-232C) response time-out:

1. Scan the

 

 

 

SERIAL RESPONSE TIME-OUT

 

 

 

bar code below.

2. Scan two bar codes from 

Numeric Bar Codes

 beginning on page 5-96 which 

represent the desired time-out. You must always scan two bar codes.

3. If you make an error, or wish to change your selection, scan

 CANCEL

 on page 5-98
