6. Replacement Procedures – Server Board - Memory
How to Replace a Faulty Dimm
Step 1
Power off the SIEM 9750 and unplug the power cables from the power supplies.
Step 2
If necessary, remove the machine from the cabinet
Step 3
Remove the lid screw and then the top cover of the chassis
Step 4
Label any external connections that might go into PCI devices. Disconnect those connections.
Then remove the Riser Cage Assembly from the chassis by pulling on it straight upward. The hands
should be placed at the 2 places located in light blue before pulling up.
