Transmission range
When choosing a location for the transmitter and receiver, consider some factors that can reduce transmis-
sion range.
• Walls and reinforced concrete ceilings.
• Coated/metallised insulated glass.
• Proximity to metal & conducting objects (e.g. radiators).
• Broadband interference from radio-controlled devices (e.g. headphones, speakers, weather stations,
baby monitors etc.).
• Proximity to electric motors, transformers, power-supply units, and computers.
Mounting the push button (transmitter)
Note
• Before mounting the transmitter, check the transmitter and receiver are within range of each other.
See section “Connection”.
• It is recommended to mount the transmitter in a sheltered area to protect the plastic housing against
weathering.
• Mounting the transmitter on metallic surfaces can affect the transmission distance. If this is the only
option, it is recommend to use the adhesive. See “Adhesive tape mounting” below.
a) Adhesive tape mounting (recommended)
• Prepare the surface for mounting. It should be dry, smooth, free from dirt, and debris.
• With the mounting bracket attached to the push button, remove the backing from one side of the adhe-
sive tape and attach it to the mounting bracket.
• Remove the remaining backing and press and adhere the bracket to the wall. Press and hold against the
wall for approximately 30 seconds to help the adhesive set.
b) Screw mounting
1. Slide the mounting bracket off the push button.
2. Use the mounting bracket as a template to mark the holes for drilling.
3. Attach the bracket to the wall using the included screws and dowels (if needed).
4. Slide the push button onto the bracket. It should “click” into place.
Connection
Note
The transmitter and receiver should already be paired when you receive it. If not, refer to section “Opera-
tion, c) Pairing”.
1. Connect the doorbell chime (receiver) to a suitable power outlet. The LED indicator will light up when
the power is on.
2. Press the push button
on the transmitter to activate the doorbell chime. The LED ring light will light
up to show that the push button is receiving power.
Operation
a) Volume button
Repeatedly press the volume button
to toggle through volume levels: 0 (mute), 1, 2, 3, 4.
b) Select chime
1. On the doorbell chime, press forward
or backward
to select a chime.
2. Press and hold the volume button
until you hear a beep. The LED indicator will start flashing.
3. Within 5 sec, press the push button
on the transmitter to set the chime. The LED will stop flashing.
c) Pairing
1. Press and hold the volume button
until you hear a beep.
The LED indicator will start
flashing.
2. Within 5 sec, press the push button
on the transmitter to pair. The LED will stop flashing.
d) Reset to factory defaults
If the product is not working correctly, try resetting it to factory defaults.
1. Press and hold the forward
button until a chime sounds, and the LED indicator flashes.
2. Pair the transmitter and receiver with each other again. See section “Operation, c) Pairing”.
Troubleshooting
If the doorbell chime (receiver) does not sound or the operating range is reduced.
• Check the transmitter battery. Please replace battery every 12 months.
• Check the transmitter and receiver are within range. See section “Transmission range.”
• Try pairing both devices again. See section “Operation, c) Pairing”.
Care and cleaning
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as they
can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
Before each cleaning:
•
Doorbell chime: Disconnect from the power supply and clean with a dry, fibre-free cloth.
•
Push button: Remove from the bracket and wipe with a dry, fibre-free cloth. Slightly moisten the cloth
if needed.
