b) Rechargeable batteries
• Ensure that you insert the batteries in the correct polarity.
• To prevent battery leakage, remove the batteries when you do not plan to use the
product for an extended period. Leaking or damaged batteries may cause acid
burns when they come into contact with skin. Therefore, use suitable protective
gloves to handle damaged batteries.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying around, as
they constitute a choking hazard for children and pets.
• All batteries must be replaced at the same time. Mixing old and new rechargeable
batteries can lead to battery leakage and damage the appliance.
•
Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire. Never
recharge non rechargeable batteries. Danger of explosion!

Use only rechargeable NiMH batteries. Do not use conventional, non-rechargeable
batteries.
• The batteries are charged during the day in sunlight. Depending on the season, intensity and
angle of incidence of the sunlight, as well as the condition of the batteries used, it can take
up to 60 hours until empty batteries (about 25% remaining capacity) are fully charged again.
New batteries can be charged with a battery charger before use.
• Turn the battery cover anticlockwise (see
OPEN
mark) until it stops. Remove the battery
compartment cover from the battery compartment
(7)
.
• Insert two 1.2V AAA batteries (not included in the delivery) into the battery compartment.
Make sure that the polarity (+/-) is correct as indicated in the battery compartment.
• Replace the battery compartment cover on the housing. The groove on the top and bottom
of the battery compartment cover must be in the recess on the housing. Turn the battery
compartment cover clockwise (see
CLOSE
mark) until it stops. Make sure that the battery
compartment cover is properly closed to maintain the weather resistance of the product.
Installation and Start-up
When drilling holes and tightening the screws, make sure not to damage any power
lines or gas or water pipes below the surface.
•
Choose a suitable mounting surface (e.g. house wall). Make sure that the solar module
(1)
on the top of the housing is supplied with sufficient sunlight. Otherwise, the batteries cannot
be charged.
• Highlight the position of the mounting holes on the mounting surface using a pencil or the like.
Use the wall bracket as a template. The camera housing must not be removed. If necessary,
loosen the locking screw
(5)
of the ball joint
(4)
to rotate the housing away from the mounting
holes to mark the holes.
If necessary, you can remove the camera housing. For this, the locking screw
(5)
must be completely loosened. Pay attention to the arrangement of the individual
parts so that they are reassembled in the correct order during the assembly.
• You can use screws and dowels provided to fasten the product, if they are suitable.
• Drill three mounting holes on the surface.
• Screw the product to the surface.
• At the bottom in the rear of the housing, a cable conduit serving as a connection cable
dummy is attached. Place the conduit in one of the appropriate holes on the wall bracket.
• Loosen the set screw of the ball joint to swivel and tilt the housing in the desired position.
Lock the position by re-tightening the set screw.
• The LED
(3)
flashes every 5 seconds if there is enough power (sunlight or battery). The
flashing LED simulates an active camera.
