Setup
• Screw the second (shorter) antenna to the corresponding socket on the back of the camera.
The antenna can be pointed at different angles to improve reception.
• Secure the wall mount in place with suitable screws, and if necessary, dowels (depending on
the mounting surface).
Ensure that no cables or wires are damaged when drilling holes or tightening
screws.
Before fixing the mount in place, check that the transmission between the camera
and the monitor/DVR is functioning correctly.
Environmental factors can reduce the range and the quality of the signal.
Install the camera at least 2.5 m above the ground where it will not be susceptible to
tampering.
When installing the camera outdoors, we recommend placing it in a location that is
protected against rain/spray water (e.g. under eaves), as water droplets/spray water
on the front of the camera may lead to a distorted image.
• Adjust the lens so that it points at the desired surveillance area. You can fine tune the position
of the lens later when you view the image on your monitor/DVR.
• Place the power adapter cable in a suitable cable duct (or similar device). The power-in
connector is not protected against moisture/liquids and must be placed in a dry location (e.g.
in a suitable connector housing).
The control button (8) on the camera cable is used to pair the camera with the
monitor/DVR. Take care not to press this button by accident.
• If you want to pass the connection cable through a wall, protect the plug from dust and dirt
(e.g. using a small plastic bag).
The power adapter is only intended for use in dry, enclosed areas; it must not get
damp or wet. This may cause a fatal electric shock!
• Connect the power-in plug on the power adapter to the power-in socket (9) on the camera
cable.
• Plug the power adapter into a standard mains socket connected to the public grid. The func-
tion LED (2) on the front of the camera will turn red. When the monitor/DVR has detected
the wireless camera and starts to receive image/sound data from the camera, the LED will
turn green. An additional LED indicator will also turn on to the right of the power LED on the
monitor/DVR.
Attention, important!
Before the camera image can be displayed on the surveillance system (e.g. Conrad
item no. 1594379), the wireless camera must be paired with the surveillance sys-
tem.
Ensure that the wireless camera channel on the surveillance system is enabled.
To pair the camera, refer to the operating instructions for your surveillance system.
