Restoring the handset
default settings
You can reset individual settings and
changes you have made. Entries in the
directory and in the calls list (CLIP), the
SMS lists, the handset's registration to the
base and ringer melody will not be
affected. You will find a list of the default
settings in the Appendix, page 40.

Base station settings
The base station settings are made with a
registered handset.
Access control
Protect the system settings of the base sta-
tion with a system PIN known only to you.
The system PIN mustnow be entered for
handset registration/de-registration,
restoring default settings or barging in, for
example.
Changing the system PIN
You can change the base's 4-digit default
system PIN ("0000") to a 4-digit PIN known
only to yourself.

You can use a repeater to boost the range
and reception of your base station. Before
you can use it you must activate the
repeater mode. This will terminate any
calls that are in progress at the time.
