Extract air valve for setting the air
volume for boosted ventilation
(except the Blues Free Flow and Tango Free
Flow)
The extract air valve located inside the sound
attenuator box or throttling box should be
cleaned every 10th year in connection with
chimney sweeping, or more often if required.
Swegon recommends that you check the valve
once a year and clean it when necessary. How
the valve becomes fouled depends on how
food is prepared and how often.
The best way to access the valve is to open
the sound attenuator or throttling box as
shown in the diagrams to the right. On the
Samba hood you access the valve from the
underside of the hood, by removing the
grease filter.
Adjustment plate for air volume for boo-
sted ventilation
As standard Tango 70 Central hoods are fitted
with an adjusted plate, mounted in the duct
connection, for setting the air volume for
boosted ventilation.
